Revised Lede

Here is my revised lede:

College students accumulate most of their debt from non-emergency purchases, according to the U.S Public Interest Research Group.

I'm still working on it, but this should give you an idea of my direction.

Very nice! It's a complete sentence that focuses on a solid fact with attribution. It'd be even better if you could get the local angle in there. Perhaps by saying something like: Towson students will graduate with more credit card debt than ever, likely accumulated from unnecessary purchases, etc. What do you think?
